About Allen-Otter Creek District 65


Ransom Grade School

In 2003, Otter Creek School combined with Ransom Grade School and formed Allen-Otter Creek District 65. The only school in the District, Ransom Grade School is a kindergarten through eighth grade facility, located in the rural community of Ransom in LaSalle County, Illinois. The school serves approximately seventy families and has a current enrollment of 103 students. The average class size is twelve students. The District employs ten full-time certified teachers and three part-time teachers. In addition, the District employs eight part-time staff members, one full-time staff member and one administrator. Due to the dedication of the Board, staff, and faculty, Ransom Grade School is making Annual Yearly Progress. The purpose of Ransom Grade School is to develop responsible young adults who are life long learners and leaders by providing a safe, welcoming, and structured educational environment.
