This is one of the Programs called Kid Pix that we use a lot with our
younger students.  Students use this program to create, slide shows, ABC books, and to help them learn their letter sounds by associating sounds with pictures.  Our students from the youngest to the oldest really enjoy using this program
.

This is a demo of a program commonly used with fourth grade and higher.  This is called power point.  It is made by Microsoft.  Power point is a slide show presentation that our students use to present information on a topic.  Currently, my sixth and seventh grade class are using this to create a power point on Christmas from various countries.  They will be presenting these projects along with having a Christmas Around the World party.  This program allows our students to be creative and use their imaginations to create eye catching and appealing presentations.
Our students starting in the second half of third grade begin to learn to type using Home Row Keys.  Our students master the home row keys and move on to the other keys of the key board.  It is important to our staff that our students can master typing before leaving Ransom Grade School.  We expect our students to have mastered this by the time they enter eighth grade.  Students should be able to type well in order to things in the grades beyond Ransom Grade School.
©2010  Today's students need to be able to question, analyze, reason, and think critically to be successful in tomorrow's challenges.
